Vertical Impact Seeks New Creative Worship-Arts Director With the upcoming departure of Phil Bowdle, VI has some big shoes to fill. The role of the Creative Worship-Arts Director is to lead the students of VI into a vibrant awareness of God’s presence through powerful music and creative media with the hope that teens will honor God with their lives—which we believe is true worship. Though mastering an instrument is preferred, we are more so looking for a “worship leader” who truly understands connecting others with God through music. We are not necessarily seeking out a great “musician,” per se. Yet there must be at minimum a strong vocal ability and the capacity to organize a band and develop a raw pool of talent. The director shall also assist the Pastor to Students with the everyday tasks of student ministry; be a proactive participant in all youth ministry programs and events; develop relationships with the teens of our parish; set a Christ-like example in character and lifestyle for the students; and promote the spiritual and numerical growth of VI. All applicants must LOVE teens, and of course, have a dynamic faith in Christ.
